The Modern Art Museum

Welcome to the World’s Leading Museum of Modern Art. It includes works of art created during the period stretching from about 1860 to the 1970s.

A Space dedicated to showcasing and preserving the Creative Works of Contemporary Artists. The museum serves as a cultural hub, fostering appreciation and understanding of the art world through exhibitions, educational programs, and public events.

In the late 1960s, artist Carsten Höller installed a 40-foot-tall slide in the museum's atrium as part of an exhibition. Today, The Modern Art Museum has been holding the tredition and continues to push the boundaries of traditional museum experiences.

Expert Members

Ahlam Khaled Abu-Harb

Archaeological Object Restorer and Conservator with over 6 years of experience in the conservation and restoration of pottery, metal, and other archaeological artifacts. Specializing in corrosion treatment, stabilization, preventive conservation, and documentation, she has worked on significant projects in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Dubai. Adept at interdisciplinary teamwork and committed to ethical conservation practices.

Ahmad Badr Aldin Fattal

Ahmad is a cultural heritage specialist and field projects engineer with extensive experience in digital documentation and conservation planning. Based in the United Arab Emirates, he currently works as a Consultant at ICCROM (the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) in Sharjah, where he leads projects focused on 3D visualization, photogrammetry, LiDAR, GIS-based analysis, and digital archiving of heritage sites across the Arab region. Prior to this role, Ahmad served as a Teaching Assistant at the Technical University of Berlin, where he taught a range of subjects related to cultural heritage conservation management. He holds an MSc in Conservation Management of Cultural Heritage (ICCROM & University of Sharjah) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Geomatics Engineering). His multidisciplinary background bridges engineering precision with heritage conservation. Throughout his career, Ahmad has contributed to international initiatives in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Bosnia, and the UAE, working on documentation, capacity building, and post-conflict recovery of cultural heritage. His work emphasizes the use of innovative digital tools to support sustainable conservation, risk assessment, and evidence-based decision-making in heritage management.

Sara Leite Fragoso

Conservator-restorer since 1994, with specialization in silver and golden deterioration and conservation, and on characterization of archaeological roman bronzes. PhD student in conservation science (due until the end of the year). Assistance Teacher between 2001 and 2022 in metals conservation (Bac, master’s students) for DCR-NOVA-SST. Freelancer conservator, doing since 1994 conservation of archaeological metal artifacts, but also monumental sculptures (Bronzes, brasses), and objects conservation from XV century until XX century. Consultant in Metals and preventive conservation and since 2010. Specialization in Risk assessment and strategic thinking by CCI and ICRROM, and specialization on Sustainability by the European Union.
